If you’re following an AIP or anti-inflammatory diet, you already know that one of the first things to go is refined sugar. And that can make it feel like caramel, desserts, or even sweet snacks are off-limits forever.
I’ve never been much of a sweet tooth, but you know how it goes—when someone tells you you can’t have something, it instantly becomes all you can think about. That’s exactly what happened to me with sugar! 😅
So I started looking for healthier ways to satisfy those occasional cravings for chocolate or cake, and that’s when I discovered dates — nature’s healthy, naturally sweet ingredient for desserts.
This date caramel is 100% natural, dairy-free, and made without refined sugar, yet it tastes just as rich and indulgent as the classic version.
It’s perfect for topping yogurt, oatmeal, apple slices, or smoothie bowls, and it’s one of those simple recipes you’ll want to keep in your fridge all week long.
